My Pa has developed a new sport....its called Rottie Fishing.

first you look for a good strong rope, you really dun need to tie a bait or hook at the end....cast the line....and STRIKE!

After that you can slowly reel it in...disengage the jaw.... and set the Rottie free again after taking a couple of pictures.

***No Real Rotties were harmed during the taking of the pictures known as Rottie Fishing.***

Let me introduce you to my Pa's domestic helper... Marh.

She's never hogging the limelight and she always help with clearing up after me as well as preparing my food and Pa's food.

She's totally ok with me as she as seen me grow up and she knows actually how a baby I am.

She'll be going home soon...and I would probably never get to see her again.

I'll miss you Marh....

(Err...if you're thinking that she's helping me clear away my eye-shit, you would be absolutely right)

By the way...for those interested in the therapy saga, there has been a little development...but lets wait a while more and see, before I talk about it again.

Dear TK

Thank you very much for your interest in our PAT activities and for taking the time to bring your Rottie, Bear, for the assessment last weekend.

Taking into account the observations made by our tester and our experience from the environments/situations that PAT dogs will be exposed to during our outreach activities, our assessment is that the work we do at this point might not be suitable for Bear.

As explained to you earlier, this has primarily to do with the nature of clients we work with e.g. some of our intellectually disabled clients can actually get quite “rough”, temperamental and unpredictable with the dogs. Such behaviours have, in some instance, lead to some dogs becoming a little more high-strung and less patient, and at times, even more aggressive towards other dogs (especially males) as the defenses build up. While Bear may be obedient and will take commands from you, we also seek your understanding that we are unable to control the behaviour of the clients/other dogs and how their actions will impact Bear.

In view of the above, we hope that you understand that it may be better not to have Bear join us.

Thank you very much once again.

Sincerely,

Charlie Ho

Dear Charlie,

this information comes to be as a very big surprise.

Thank you for your time on this matter.

Just as a matter of clarification, the tester said that Bear was unsuitable?

Because when I was there and on the completion of the test, I remember him saying very clearly to everyone there....

"Congratulations, He has done very well. I will inform them that he is ready for immediate deployment."

Of course I was thrilled. As this is a big difference from what you are saying now, I would like to find out just which area Bear has failed in so that I can improve on it and perhaps join you guys in the future when he does pass his test.

Best Regards
TK

sob. is there something wrong with me?

Pa has been teaching me to have a greater ball drive as well as barking. Most furkids parents try to get their dogs quiet. But Pa's been trying to get me to speak more often.

He actually gets me to put on a different collar when I am speaking or chasing after balls. I think that means he wants me to only be talkative and driven at certain times.

check out my working collar and handle!!!

I also went to have my temprement tested to be a therapy dog! www.tdspore.org/

Therapy Dogs, Singapore (TDS) is a non-profit voluntary organisation of caring dog-owners who seek to share the unconditional love and affection of their dogs with society's underprivileged and to provide pet-assisted therapy (PAT) to meet their physical and emotional needs.
TDS was formed in early 2004 by volunteers who each have more than 5 years' experience providing regular PAT to 10 adopted homes and health institutions as well as many ad-hoc PAT visits.

The tester made me do some insultingly easy steps...and soon I was proclaimed ready for immediate deployment!

Hee hee hee....I cannot wait to go for my first visit!

I went to the Arts Bazaar about a week back and they had really funny things on sale! Aren't these really cute?

CUP CAKES! in all manner of colors and themes. Pa lost the name card I think...Too Bad...they even have different flavors inside.

Pa also bought Moss Ball Plants from 2 very cute partners, Irene and Tamako. He hasn't taken any pictures of his Shot Glass Moss Balls...but he will soon, and he will post it up here.

Tamako was especially cute with her queries... rather inappropriate in a way, cause the Moss Plants were placed in Old Drink can tops... Shot Glasses etc. And she wondered aloud why people had so much interest in them... Pa has to set her straight by explaining to her that the concept of having a living thing contrast to the inanimate can juxtaposes to an office table in which the size is appropriate.

Pa could see the other partner being not too pleased about the questions especially when comments like "looking like rubbish" was uttered.

But honestly, Pa could see her point, and anyway they were both kinda cute. Even their email is cute... fluffygal23@hotmail.com. Pictures up later! (Pa has her HP number, but dunch think it would be a good idea to post it here...

One question you could ask is where was I?

OUTSIDE. Apparently one of the organisers who identified himself as a Nparks guy came over to Pa when he was outside... and told Pa to remove me from the area.

Nparks Guy: "Hi, I'm from NParks."
Pa: "Hi." (looking at stuff displayed outside.)
NParks Guy: "Could you remove your dog?"
Pa: "What? *looks around* Dogs not allowed here?"
NParks Guy: "Err...no. they are allowed. But people might be uncomfortable."
Pa: "*looking at 3 girls petting me* I'm outside the building and I dun plan to step inside."
NParks Guy: "Yah. Maybe you can just move your dog all the way over that side."
Pa: "*getting pissed* whatever." (Walks on ignoring Nparks guy with a wave of the hand that says 'bah.'

The security guard was so happy to see me again and he kept on petting me. He even brought me to walk about as Pa went inside to take a look and met te Moss Ball girls. NParks guy just sat in the corner. I dunch think he likes dogs. Or maybe its just me. *sob*

Just as Pa was walking off....he heard his name called outside! IT WAS JENNY!!! Bailey's mom! I was so happy to see her that I gave her a very good face bath and shed my fur on her. Actually its a coded message to Baileys when she gets home. Yes...Humans can be made used of like that.

I've decided to post up a picture of my uber secret training with my uber solid trainers. But to protect everyone's identities, I have blocked off all our eyes to protect all our uber secret identities

Thanks you-know-who-you-are!

Its really a very nice gift. My Pa has yet to buy me anything for my birthday!

He tells me that all of a sudden, I have become a political figure. Its simply that I wanna take over the World isn't it? Pa tells me that he just got banned by yet another Doggie Forum. "Politics I tell ya..." he rants. Put it this way, unable to out-talk, and unable to be unbiased, the only way is to cower behind another skirts while beating your chest screaming purity.

I've been reading a little but the forum doesn't really interest me. I say good riddance. Pa spends way too much time on it anyway. I told my Pa asking him isn't it odd that this bunch yells "Adopt a Dog" while most actually purchase their loved ones? Anyway, I'm glad its over. Being misunderstood is a part of life.

No one has the courage to stand up to Pa, but rather gossip about things like having me lie down patiently on the pavement while my Pa has his dinner 2 meters away. Unleashed to be sure, but its how I behaved that counts right? People came over to greet me or leave me alone. I left them alone too.

Or that accuses Pa of telling someone to make a Vet claim on them...I mean...Pa didn't understand what that was about. All he recalled was one day someone coming over to talk to him, telling him that a dog bit his dog at the Dog run. So Pa just told him that in any case, usually the other Dog owner should offer to pay for the Vet fees.

Oh well, Politics in humans can extend to us pooches as well. We will remain loyal to our owners.

Some Eye candy! These girls really like me lots. Maybe I should invite them to the party as well... by the way...WHEN is the PARTY?

Haha...I wun be posting up a lot of SCDF training pictures...but I'm going for it on Saturdays now! Apparently even SAR training pictures shouldn't be posted online. I wanted to put up a lovely picture of me and my trainers, but I worry kaypoh people will go and report me.

What to do? Not that there isn't other pictures on the training online already...but humans will be petty humans. They just dun know when to stop and be objective.

your loss.
