Dear TK
Thank you very much for your interest in our PAT activities and for taking the time to bring your Rottie, Bear, for the assessment last weekend.
Taking into account the observations made by our tester and our experience from the environments/situations that PAT dogs will be exposed to during our outreach activities, our assessment is that the work we do at this point might not be suitable for Bear.
As explained to you earlier, this has primarily to do with the nature of clients we work with e.g. some of our intellectually disabled clients can actually get quite “rough”, temperamental and unpredictable with the dogs. Such behaviours have, in some instance, lead to some dogs becoming a little more high-strung and less patient, and at times, even more aggressive towards other dogs (especially males) as the defenses build up. While Bear may be obedient and will take commands from you, we also seek your understanding that we are unable to control the behaviour of the clients/other dogs and how their actions will impact Bear.
In view of the above, we hope that you understand that it may be better not to have Bear join us.
Thank you very much once again.
Sincerely,
Charlie Ho

Dear Charlie,
this information comes to be as a very big surprise.
Thank you for your time on this matter.
Just as a matter of clarification, the tester said that Bear was unsuitable?
Because when I was there and on the completion of the test, I remember him saying very clearly to everyone there....
"Congratulations, He has done very well. I will inform them that he is ready for immediate deployment."
Of course I was thrilled. As this is a big difference from what you are saying now, I would like to find out just which area Bear has failed in so that I can improve on it and perhaps join you guys in the future when he does pass his test.
Best Regards
TK

Ohhhh... that's just bad bad news! But no hard feelings BearBear coz you have your other carrier up a head of you... We're going to visit a kid's disabled's home next Monday evening & I'll be performing for them & helping them sell newspapers too. I think it's gonna be a lot of fun! Will take lots of pics during that day...
Love licks,

Sob... Bear wants to join in too.
:(
I'm sorry. I'll be curious to hear what they say. I want to know if it's a breed issue which would really hack me off.
The Brat Pack
PS Sending hugs your way
There is nothing wrong with you.
Some people just do not understand.

So sorry, Bear Bear. That sucks, frankly. We think you're cool. You don't think they were profiling you because you're a Rottie, do you??? Naw. That would never happen.
