Ariel's Botanical Birthday Party

What a FANTASTIC WEEKEND! Happy Birthday Ariel! This is the Beautiful Birthday Girl Ariel and we met at the Botanical Gardens on Sunday! All 7 years old, she is one of the sweetest things I have chewed on for the longest time!
Here is Ariel and her Daddy... the Mummy is like a busy bee, hardly having even the time to take a picture with Ariel... But the Party turned out GREAT!
The weather was hot and PERFECT. We had an excellent spot in the shade and we had a fantastic crowd... As always, everyone was a little apprehensive, but after a short announcement from Pa about who and what we are... there was truly no more hesitation... just lots and lots of cuddling!
Adults and children alike, we were smothered! It was a great time we arrived too... The games were just done and everyone was about to have some food.
The Kids were entirely FEARLESS and they simply walked right up to us and started playing and playing and playing...
We of course obliged with the numerous photo opportunities and did our best to make others look good! Look at just how tiny they are!
I have a feeling Ariel especially likes me better over Bruno... she did spend more time with me!
But Bruno had his own fans of course... and he milked every single moment.
Suddenly I was asked to bring these girls for a walk? And Bruno wasn't allowed to do so... That because he was still prone to distraction and well... what am I to do?
So I brought the girls out for a walk and they all got super excited... you'll think they have never gone for a walk before...
Apparently I heard Pa complain that he never has this effect on girls... But hey... really... I'm just simply way cuter than he is.
but the CAKE was the BOMB! the massive cake was delicious!... Ermmm... hee hee hee....
Bruno was fascinated with silly soap bubbles... I was just waiting for one to burst in his eye... that would teach him not to play with soap!
After that it was snack time... Pa brought some food with him and we ate rather happily... The girls were even happy to watch us eat.... patting and trying their darnest to get us to play with them again.
The day came to a close way too soon... we had a group photo and every soon after that.. everyone started to leave... but it was a great day no matter.
A group of cute girls were looking at us all this time and surprised us when they asked to take a photo with us... we of course were more than happy to do so... and BOY were they totally comfortable with us! I hope they see us soon. YUMMY!
We can't wait to be invited to other functions. WOOHOO!

A little Nigel update, the bandages and e-collar are off. He is back successfully on solids and seems to be on the road to full recovery. We thank everyone who has had their thoughts on him all this time. He is not making any public appearances right now... as his fur is pretty ugly. Once he is ready, we will bring him out again...

Mother of the Year

In a zoo in California, a mother tiger gave birth to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs. Unfortunately, due to complications in the pregnancy, the cubs were born prematurely and due to their tiny size, they died shortly after birth.

The mother tiger after recovering from the delivery, suddenly started to decline in health, although physically she was fine. The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter had caused the tigress to fall into a depression. The doctors decided that if the tigress could surrogate another mother's cubs, perhaps she would improve.

After checking with many other zoos across the country, the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother. The veterinarians decided to try something that had never been tried in a zoo environment. Sometimes a mother of one species will take on the care of a different species. The only orphans" that could be found quickly, were a litter of weaner pigs. The zoo keepers and vets wrapped the piglets in tiger skin and placed the babies around the mother tiger. Would they become cubs or pork chops??
In Life... anything is possible I suppose.

An ear infection / A new place to explore

Perfect Weather... no rain, cool, windy... Simply PERFECT.
And what does BRUNO my idiot brother get? an ear infection. ARGH. So we didn't manage to join Pa when he explored a new place near the farm... But according to these pictures and Pa, this place is worth going back for a lot more.
First he came upon these... SUPER SIZE Cockles!
Just to show you what sort of monsters these are Uncle Jackson puts his hands next to them... the shells are as big as his PALM. We didn't even know these even existed in Singapore... Looks like someone found them as tasty as they look and Uncle Jackson and Pa found these littered all over.
They spotted other people using net traps to catch a huge variety of fish, crabs and even stingrays! BIG ONES TOO! If you think the fellow on top is on a kayak...
He was really on this... a monster size foam board. If you look closely you can see some of the very impressive catch.
Pa went further down the track on foot, only to find some of the best unspoiled spots still existing in Singapore. Even the water was clean and clear... it certainly looks beautiful. We aren't too sure that is that little structure by the water, but it looks like a little ancient floodgate. The sights didn't seem to end, there were all sorts of wildlife in the area... sure there is some rubbish here and there, but generally it looked great.Pa cannot wait to get into the water and see what he can find! Fish.... monster cockles... and... Oyster?Further down the stream was even more stunning sights and creatures... and Pa even spotted OYSTER SHELLS... that's right... MONSTER OYSTER is available here! and someone has been happily enjoying them... well its not a secret any longer. The next time Pa is going, he will be bringing us... and off leash too... I just cannot wait! Anyone wants to join us for a little hashing?

Nigel begins to eat, ClubPets 2nd Place, Sentosa Sun, Sand and Sea

Just met Nigel the other day, He had his tube removed and is beginning to eat again. He looks real happy, but he still tends to go to the corner and to be by himself, I guess it would still take a little time to get better.Pa on the other hand brought us to KM8 again, and the sun was too damn hot. Even Pa got sunburnt, we swam to the little island and back again, it was quite relaxing... i just wish the sun wasn't that hot in the first place.
hahaha... Fruits on Ice at the beach is Da Bomb.Remember this photo?? Clubpets just got back to us and told us we manage to snag 2nd place. Pa wasn't that thrilled... he had really wanted me to win. More to be able to talk about the general misunderstandings of our breed. Oh well... the next competition we go!
We would love to thank everyone that had voted for us... it was great... we wished we won but hey... you win some you lose some... Anyone wants me for their ad?

Nigel's stitches and feeding tube to be removed soon...

Nigel in his new dressing... apparently he has been doing pretty well. I even saw him able to open his mouth... And good news is this this coming friday we are able to hopefully remove the terrible stitches and feeding tube.
He seems to have retained most if not all of his good humor. Still asking for belly rubs etc. Can't wait for him to be all good and better. It has been a tough lesson and tougher time for Nigel. Thanks to those that cared for him lots and asked after him all the time... As for those that did not, I know your thoughts were with us... no matter how brief. =)

Oooo.... Valentines Day is coming... and we have been invited to several parties... Should we go?

Nigel is recoverying well... *toes Crossed* / Meeting up with SherJay

Nigel currently has improved a lot... he is still miserable but his health seems to be improving by leaps and bounds. We have great hope that he will actually recover fully. With only two more reviews to go... he has incurred over $1500-$1600 worth of bills. Honestly, that's really the lower end of our estimates.
On a brighter note... I met our new SherJay. *GRINZ* i was SO excited meeting him! I couldn't leave him alone or let him be... I was always trying to get near to him. Pa didn't allow me of course.

Uncle Song (Pa's brother and Baby's father) was telling Pa that it was fine for me to meet. But Pa said he didn't want me to get into the habit of approaching a new born especially as that would scare the shit out of everyone.

In the end, I stood guard in front of the crib... listening to his little sounds and his cries. Getting all excited, trying to understand it all.
Bruno on the other hand, well... was on the other hand. He just ignored SherJay. Silly Fellow... he still doesn't realise just how cool SherJay is... and all the interesting smells from him!
